Most online PDF and image tools upload your files to their servers, process them there, and delete them later. That costs them money, which is why they cap file sizes and sell subscriptions — and it means your documents sit on someone else's computer for a while. These tools work differently. Your browser downloads the tool, then does the work itself, on your device. Your files never travel anywhere, and the pages are set up so the browser blocks them from sending data to any other server. Running costs are close to nothing, so there is nothing to charge for.
