Add your PDF Drop the PDF onto the box above, or choose it from your device. ### 2. Choose the style Pick where the numbers go, how they read (1, Page 1, 1 of 12), the text size and the first number. Leave a cover page unnumbered if you need to. ### 3. Add and download Press Add page numbers and download the numbered PDF. ## Numbers that sit where you expect Pages that were saved turned sideways are numbered the way you read them, not along the page's edge — a common slip with tools that ignore page rotation. The numbers are real text added to each page, in a plain sans-serif typeface, so they print sharply. ## Questions ### Can I start from a number other than 1? Yes — set "First number". Useful when the PDF is a chapter of something longer. ### Can I skip the cover page? Yes. Tick "Leave the first page unnumbered" and numbering starts on page two, from your first number. ### Are my PDFs uploaded anywhere? No. The tool runs entirely in your web browser: your files are opened and processed on your own phone or computer, and nothing is sent to a server — not to ours, not to anyone else's.
