# Convert JPG to PDF

Put one or many JPG photos into a single PDF, one image per page. **Your photos stay on your device.**

**JPG to PDF** is an interactive tool that runs in a web browser at https://spirikle.com/tools/jpg-to-pdf/. It processes files on the visitor's own device; nothing is uploaded. There is nothing to call from Markdown — open the page to use it.

## How to convert JPG to PDF

### 1. Add your photos

Drop the JPG files onto the box above, or choose them. Add more at any time.

### 2. Set the order and page size

Drag the images into the order you want. Keep each page the size of its photo, or fit them on A4 or US Letter pages, with or without a margin.

### 3. Convert and download

Press Convert to PDF and download your PDF.

## Your photos, unchanged, in a PDF

A JPG is placed in the PDF as it is — not re-compressed — so the PDF looks exactly like your photos. Phone photos taken sideways are turned the right way up first, because a PDF does not understand the rotation tag a camera saves.

On A4 or Letter, each page turns to match its photo, so a landscape picture gets a landscape page instead of being shrunk onto a portrait one.

## Questions

### Can I add PNG, WebP or HEIC images too?

Yes. Any image your browser can open works, and iPhone HEIC photos are converted as well. For a guide focused on those, see [Image to PDF](/tools/image-to-pdf/).

### Why is my phone photo the right way up here but sideways elsewhere?

Phones often save photos sideways with a tag saying "turn this". Some apps ignore the tag; this tool applies it before the photo goes into the PDF.

### Are my photos uploaded anywhere?

No. The tool runs entirely in your web browser: your files are opened and processed on your own phone or computer, and nothing is sent to a server — not to ours, not to anyone else's. The page is even set up so the browser itself blocks it from sending data elsewhere. Close the tab and nothing is left behind.

### Is it really free?

Yes, completely. There is no sign-up, no daily limit, no watermark and no paid version of this tool. Because the work happens on your own device rather than on our servers, it costs us nothing to run, so there is nothing to charge for.

### Is there a limit on the number of images?

There is no fixed limit, because nothing is uploaded. The only limit is your device's memory: very large files (hundreds of megabytes) work on a computer but may be too much for an older phone.
