It processes files on the visitor's own device; nothing is uploaded. There is nothing to call from Markdown — open the page to use it. ## How to convert PDF to JPG ### 1. Add your PDF Drop the PDF onto the box above, or choose it from your device. ### 2. Pick the quality Choose a resolution: 72 DPI for screens, 150 DPI for most uses, 300 DPI for printing. Leave Pages empty for all of them, or type the ones you want. ### 3. Convert and download Press Convert to JPG. One page gives you one image; several give you a ZIP, or each image on its own. ## When JPG is the right choice JPG makes small files, which is what you want for photos, scans and anything you will post, message or attach. For pages that are mostly sharp text or line drawings, [PDF to PNG](/tools/pdf-to-png/) keeps edges crisper at the cost of bigger files. Resolution decides how sharp the image is: an A4 page at 150 DPI is about 1240 pixels wide, at 300 DPI about 2480. Higher looks better zoomed in and makes the file larger. ## Questions ### Can I convert only some pages? Yes. Type them in the Pages box — for example 1, 3-5 — and only those pages are converted. ### Why is my image blurry? Choose a higher resolution. 72 DPI is meant for screens; for reading small print or printing, use 300 DPI. ### What about password-protected PDFs? A PDF that needs a password to open cannot be converted here yet. Remove the password first, then convert the copy. ### Are my PDFs uploaded anywhere? No. The tool runs entirely in your web browser: your files are opened and processed on your own phone or computer, and nothing is sent to a server — not to ours, not to anyone else's. The page is even set up so the browser itself blocks it from sending data elsewhere. Close the tab and nothing is left behind. ### Is it really free? Yes, completely. There is no sign-up, no daily limit, no watermark and no paid version of this tool.
